AP 3D Art Studio SIS 2008-2009
|
Your calendar of due dates is in the syllabus.
Download the course syllabus in pdf format here:

AP_3_D_Syllabus_SIS.pdf
Go to this page to view the course expectations presentation.
I expect all of you to support each other's artistic development with appropriate suggestions and assistance with whatever is needed to get materials or to meet construction deadlines.
Communicate with Ms. Dayton on the AP 3D studio course blog. You will be expected to post to your wiki page at least once a week over the summer months.
The wiki and the blog will enable you to communicate with your classmates as well.
How to get started with a wiki
CRUNCH your photos to less than 75kb! Use photoshop or the free irfanview program and resize your images first. Then compress them.
Please see the instructions attached. Please, no more large image files!! CrunchPhotos2.doc

Go to see the works of French artist Annette Messager who will be displaying some of the same sculpture shown at the Centre Pompidou in Paris last year. Write a description and analysis using the form above.
But Ms. Dayton, I don't know how to critique an artwork!
Ok, try using this guide. Take it with you to the museum.

- A series of site-specific works that affect existing form or space
- Abstractions developed from natural or mechanical objects

- A ceramics project in which wheel-thrown and hand-built vessels demonstrate inventive thinking and proficiency with form
